Text Box: Favorite Sites

Here are a few of my favorite web sites:

Miniature Games:

http://www.dropship.org.uk/index3.asp  This website is one of the best I've seen for Games-Workshop related material. It has inspired me to build my own site as well as provide me with tremendous help on my modeling projects.

http://www.specialist-games.com/epic40k/default.htm Epic: Armageddon official website

http://us.games-workshop.com/default.htm What can I say...this is where it all began.  Regardless of what other systems we play, our group always has at least one GW game going at any given time.

http://the_fifth_horseman.w.interia.pl/ Epic: Armageddon Fan site

http://www.specialist-games.com/default.htm The official home of Epic, Warmaster, BFG and more.

http://www.hmgs.org/ Eastern Chapter of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society.

http://au.geocities.com/markconz/index.html A fantastic site with both Epic and DBM (Ancients) models and battle reports.

http://www.napoleonsbattles.com The home of Napoleons Battles, the rule set we use to play Napoleonics.

Computer Games:

http://www.battlefront.com/index.htm This company sells the Combat Mission Series. Hands down, one of the best computer war game out there (in my humble opinion).  So much so, I have dedicated an entire page to it.  Go to their sight and check it out.  You can also download the demo for free.

http://www.totalwar.com/  Another fantastic computer game, currently with two titles out: Shogun and Medieval: Total War. The series specializes in warfare during those time periods, respectively.  Rome: Total War is due out in October 2004 and promises to be. With the ability to pause at any time during the game and re-issue orders while surveying the battlefield, you are allowed to spend time on tactics instead of the old "click fest" of RTS games.
NOTE: If you like this series and are also interested in Napoleonics, go to this site http://www.thelordz.co.uk/ .  These amazing group of guys have created a Mod version of Total War with Napoleonic troops. I've played it a few times and its a blast.

Miscellaneous:

http://www.saboldesigns.net/index.html This is site sells a fantastic miniature transport case.  One case easily holds my entire Epic IG army (and if you haven't seen it, go here and you will see how much that is).  Its modular, so I can carry my BFG, 40K, or any other game systems model with ease.

http://www.morrisongames.com  This site was forwarded to me recently and contains a wealth of information on the Axis and Allies board game, a classic from the good old days.  I have played the game and enjoy it thoroughly.
